“If I could be half the person my dog is, I’d be twice the human I am.”

Loving Mona, a tale about a dog and her boy is a personal story of how dogs change people’s lives. Told through the lens of filmmaker Terry Katz, we experience the bond that developed between him and his rescue dog, Mona. Mona and Terry take us into the lives of other dogs and their owners showing us how rewarding, and life changing adopting a rescue dog is. The film is delightful in its sincerity and smallness of scope. Loving Mona clearly shows a deep love for its subjects, dogs and people alike, and is a special treat to be allowed inside the filmmaker’s world, and the special relationship he has with his dog. This is a film for our time when so many people have become isolated and can use the unconditional love of an animal.
